And Then There Were None

Warning:
This post and/or comments on contains information as to the plot and may ruin it for you.
There are ten main characters in the book, that are all invited to an island and slowly killed one by one. The murderer I think is satisfying a need of power over others. I think the murderer is trying to bring justice to all the people on the island becuase they all comitted murder and got away with it. The other nine people are showing a need for survival by trying to figure out who the murderer is before they are killed. Why do you think the Justice Wargrave was so sure that Vera would kill herself, and why did Justice Wargrave make the whole rig to have the revolver shoot him if he wrote the confession?

Lord of The Flies

This book is about a group of boys who get stranded on an island after their plane got shot during a war they then have to fend for themselves without the help of adults. The two main characters are Ralph and Jack in the beginning their need is for fun and freedom, but then they develop a need for survival. The only problem is that they go about satisfying that need in different ways. Ralph satisfies it by getting everyone to build a signal fire to signal any passing ships. Jack goes about this by hunting pig for fresh meat. At first it all works out but then most of the boys get obsessed with catching pig and they let the fire go out. This makes Ralph very made angry so they each break and make their own tribes.

Cats Musical

I thought that this play was very odd and very confusing. I didn't like at all that it didn't really have any story or dialog in it. I thought that the Arrowhead students did a good job on a bad play. The story was confusing because without talking you just had to guess what was going on. It was also confusing because there was no main character so every song was sort of random and each one was about a different cat. By the way what is a gelical cat? Please let me know your thoughts about the play and whether or not it made any more sense to you than it did to me.

The Grey King/ The Dark is Rising

The book decided to do for my first post is The Grey King. This book is part of the Dark is Rising series, and is the fourth book in the series. This book is about the main character from the second and third books and continues his adventures to fight the Dark. I chose to read this series because the movie just came out(The Seeker: The Dark is Rising) and for book club we read the book then saw the movie. I thought the book was very good but the movie didn't compare to it at all. Anyway back to The Grey King, Will's needs are a need for survival because he is fight the Dark to try to save the world. Will doesn't really have a need for fun at all in this book because he is always so serious and he is doing this because it is his job not because he wants to go on an adventure. Overall I would say both the books were very good and I highly recommend them.

(P.S. does anyone know how big a fox is and whether or not it could kill a sheep, the book said that foxes were killing sheep and I wanted to know how big a fox was because I thought they were kind of small
