The book decided to do for my first post is The Grey King. This book is part of the Dark is Rising series, and is the fourth book in the series. This book is about the main character from the second and third books and continues his adventures to fight the Dark. I chose to read this series because the movie just came out(The Seeker: The Dark is Rising) and for book club we read the book then saw the movie. I thought the book was very good but the movie didn't compare to it at all.
Anyway back to The Grey King, Will's needs are a need for survival because he is fight the Dark to try to save the world. Will doesn't really have a need for fun at all in this book because he is always so serious and he is doing this because it is his job not because he wants to go on an adventure. Overall I would say both the books were very good and I highly recommend them.
(P.S. does anyone know how big a fox is and whether or not it could kill a sheep, the book said that foxes were killing sheep and I wanted to know how big a fox was because I thought they were kind of small

Yes, Foxes can kill sheep.
Everyone has a survival need. Are there other needs?

Fox are relatively small, but they will kill sheep to survive. They have rather powerful jaws. Their need to survive is no different than any others need to survive.
What need does evil represent. Why is it important for Will to fight it? He must be trying to satisfy other needs besides survival. How will life be different if he wins over evil?

Will also has a need from freedom becuase in most of the books he is by himself and away from his family, so he is very close to his mentor and friends he meets.
I was thinking about reading this series. Are there any things that you din't like about the book? If there are, could you please tell me.
there weren't many things that i didn't like in this book one of them is that it was written a long time ago so it is written a little wierd.
